About Me
Hi, and thanks for coming to my site! My name is Jason Christopher, and I'm from Murfreesboro, TN (just outside of Nashville). This is where I am supposed to have a dramatic, touching story about my journey to photography, but I'm not sure I have one. If I do, I'm just not great at putting it into words. As long as I can remember, I've been taking pictures. And not just the usual stuff you do as a kid, where you just take silly pictures with your friends. I was always framing whatever I was looking at, thinking about how I'd shoot it. Somewhere in my teenage years, I started to have a disposable camera on me absolutely everywhere I went. Always kept a couple in the glovebox. Disposable cameras! Remember those? Dropping them off and waiting days to get your photos back? Ah, I'm old. Anyway, in college I upgraded to "real" cameras, and I've just sort of been going ever since. I love wandering with a camera in my hand, and I love the creativity of the editing process even more.
If I'm not taking photos, I'm probably playing with my dogs Floyd & Sunshine (you may find them in the galleries on this site), going to concerts/festivals, playing guitar, watching college football (Go Vols) or gaming. Big, big gamer here. Games evolving to the point where we are given giant, detailed open worlds, and then given a PHOTO MODE within the game is one of the coolest things to ever happen. I can ignore the actual plot of any game for weeks while I explore and frame up shots. I don't care if the world is ending, I found this cool overgrown alley with an abandoned Airstream in it, and I've got to go shoot it.
Anyway, that's me. Thanks for stopping by to check out my work. I've had so many requests over the years to use various photos of mine for various reasons, I figured it was probably time to build a website where I could put everything in case anyone in interested in working together. If you've got any questions, feel free to reach out!
